Chair of the Single Resolution Board (SRB), Dominique Laboureix, and Chair of the Supervisory Board of the European Central Bank, Andrea Enria, visited Finland 31.8.–1.9.2023. Laboureix took up his post as Chair of the SRB in January.
On their visit, both men met representatives of the Financial Stability Authority, Finnish Financial Supervisory Authority, Bank of Finland, Ministry of Finance and various banks. At the meetings they discussed topical matters related to European banking supervision and resolution. There was also a review of the current situation in the banking sector in Finland and Europe.
Mr Laboureix’s visit is an indication of the close cooperation that has existed between the resolution authorities during the Chair’s new term of office and will continue to do so. The partnership provides firm support for resolution and banking supervision in the European banking sector.
