This accessibility statement applies to the www.rvv.fi website and has been updated 2 March 2021.
The website is subject to the Act on the Provision of Digital Services (available in Finnish and Swedish). Under the Act public online services must be accessible; therefore, everyone must have equal access to the use of the online services.
This statement describes the shortcomings identified in the accessibility of this website and provides information on how you can give us feedback regarding accessibility issues. We have performed the assessment of the accessibility of this website ourselves.
Status of website accessibility
The website largely meets the A and AA requirements of the accessibility criteria required by law (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, WCAG 2.1).
Please contact us via email if the material you need is not accessible. We will deliver the material in an accessible format.
Content not covered by applicable legislation
Our website contains archived content which does not belong to the scope of applicable legislation. This content is neither updated nor needed in the handing of current matters by the Authority. Such content comprises:
- Office software documents (doc, pfd, otd) published before 23 September 2018
- Video and audio recordings published before 23 September 2020
Content and functionalities that are not yet accessible
Below is a list of accessibility problems we are aware of. Efforts to make these functions accessible are underway.
1. Perceivable:
Redundant tables
Some information has been presented in a table format although it is not data that requires a table. (WCAG 1.3.1)
Shortcomings in content listing
The website includes content lists, such as lists of announcements, which open a new window link including a <title> element that is not optimal for a screen reader. (WCAG 1.3.5)
2. Operable:
Shortcomings in operability with a keyboard
Some of the accordion presentation elements used on the website are not at all usable with a keyboard while some have incomplete or false aria attributes. In addition, the visual indicator showing whether the element is open works incorrectly in some accordions. (WCAG 2.1.1)
The default browser style has been used as the keyboard focus style. In some places, the colour contrast of the focus is not fully adequate to indicate the location of the focus. (WCAG 2.4.7)
Purpose and naming of links
Some links on the website do not indicate that the link causes a pdf file to download. Old announcements include links named as “here”. (WCAG 2.4.4)
Accessibility shortcomings in the search function
The search function and search page of the website are not fully accessible at the moment. Efforts to make these functions accessible are underway.
3. Understandable
Professional terminology
Parts of the website contain professional terminology which may not be understandable by all users. (WCAG 3.1.3)
4. Robust
The mobile menu does not function with all combinations
The mobile menu is not fully accessible with all combinations of screen readers and browsers. (WGAG 4.1.1.)
Redundant aria labels
The Liferay publication system produces unnecessary aria-label attributes. (WGAG 4.1.2)
Material produced by other parties
The Financial Stability Authority is not responsible for the operability of content produced by other parties as part of our website. Such content includes links to external content, such as legislation and SRB and EBA policy documents.
